Lacazette, Saka and ESR are Arsenal’s most important players right now

Between Lacazette, Saka and Smith Rowe, the Arsenal trio has 10 goals and assists in the last five games, contributing heavily to the Gunners’ improved form.

Mikel Arteta’s side has won its last three games in a row in the Premier League, with the form of Lacazette, in particular, helping the North Londoners move up four places on the table.

The Frenchman has scored five goals and got one assist but he will admit that the movement and energy provided by the likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe has helped create huge amounts of space for him to wreak havoc.

Following the 3-1 win over Chelsea, Arteta was told by the Arsenal board that his future at the club isn’t at risk. The Spanish coach was also encouraged to continue trusting the likes of Saka and ESR which has paid off hugely in the last few fixtures.

Arsenal have won three games in a row in the league for the first time this season and are now just three points behind Chelsea.

The most encouraging thing about the recent wins is the movement and freedom that the Arsenal players are playing with. They seem to have more confidence and belief in their ability which leads to risk-taking which pays off in the form of wonderful goals from Kieran Tierney and Saka against West Brom.

Arsenal will go into their next game against Crystal Palace with confidence. The Eagles have just one win from their last five and will battle to beat the Gunners if Arteta’s side can maintain their current form.
